An enthusiastic participant since 1966. Present with innovations for the retail sector for the past 50 years. That is Umdasch Shopfitting at the EuroShop, the leading trade fair for the sector which is held every three years in Düsseldorf. At the EuroShop 2017 Umdasch Shopfitting’s message was quite literally “Curtain up for the shopfitting of the future”.
Some 15,000 visitors to the Umdasch stand experienced at first hand how digital components are moving into bricks-and-mortar stores: the new table system Varitable with a Head-up Display; the Smart Tracking Analysis to investigate visitor flow; ESL.inclusive rails with direct power supply that can be integrated into the shelves; an upmarket interior dotted with Price and Product Checkers in the form of tablets with barcode scanner; the humanoid robot Pepper to welcome our guests; and the viPOS interactive wall measuring some 10 square metres for the presentation of the new corporate film. All in line with the fair motto “Love digital, love analogue” – Umdasch Shopfitting aroused enthusiasm with its sparkling display of innovative solutions.
After five days at the fair the international shopfitting concern can look back on a very successful fair presentation. The feedback was positive on all sides: “The stand looks very friendly and inviting. People really feel at ease when they visit you”, commented numerous partners and customers of Umdasch Shopfitting.
For the first time the unique solution provided by the Customer Frequency Analysis permitted us to record precise visitor numbers, their interest in the exhibits on display and the frequency at the fair stand. It transpired that the busiest day was the Tuesday, with over 5,000 visitors to the Umdasch stand. The customer evenings on the Monday and the Tuesday, which have become a tradition, provided interesting entertainment and a down-to-earth, welcoming atmosphere with the two lecturers, Bernd Pischetsrieder and Gunter Dueck, and culinary highlights served by the teams of chefs from Austria.
The new corporate film by Umdasch and the short lectures by speakers from the Umdasch Shop Academy on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday rounded out the varied programme. The corporate film is available to the public with immediate effect via Umdasch’s Youtube channel.
CEO Silvio Kirchmair was also delighted with the Umdasch presentation at the EuroShop: “This year’s EuroShop was a complete success, both quantitatively and qualitatively. We were able to hold excellent discussions with customers and partners. This was true of all divisions. The direct contracts we concluded were also most pleasing. Our fair presentation was very well received by our visitors; we presented ourselves in a very attractive manner and our customers confirmed that this was the case.”
