EuroShop 2017 - Digital solutions and shopfitting innovations

At this year’s EuroShop, Umdasch Shopfitting will be literally proclaiming “Curtain up for the shopfitting of the future”. The international shopfitting company was one of the original exhibitors and will be present again in 2017 with an impressive and unique stand at the fair. For guests and customers this place of inspiration will house exciting shopfitting exhibits together with innovations in the digital retail sector. The programme will be rounded out by fascinating short lectures by the Umdasch Shop Academy in the cinema at the fair stand.

Love digital – love analogue

For 149 years the Austrian family concern Umdasch Shopfitting has been building successful stores of all sizes. At this EuroShop we shall be presenting our customers and guests with a place of inspiration for the future of retailing and will provide relaxed conversations in a cosy atmosphere. We provide plenty of space for ideas as to how digital and analogue can function together. In line with our trade fair slogan for this year “Love digital, love analogue” we shall show you at first hand how digital solutions can be incorporated into bricks-and-mortar retailing.

 

The trade fair stand: a versatile stage

Trade means change – also at the fair stand of Umdasch Shopfitting. The height of the stand dominates the scene from afar with the semi-transparent white curtains rising to a height of approximately six metres. At the front they move slowly and thus afford fresh glimpses of the interior of the stand from time to time. A balustrade of white varnished three-ply panel invites guests and visitors to the fair even before they enter the stand to use the seating unit for a short break in the hectic bustle of the fair and to take a look at the interior of the Umdasch fair stand. Even at the entrance the Store Makers of Umdasch offer a warm welcome and invite visitors and guests to tour the analogue and digital world of shopfitting.

 

Over 20 sectors of the retail world – divided into four divisions (Lifestyle, Food, Premium und Digital-Retail):

 

Lifestyle Retail: High-performance flexibility

The Lifestyle Tower will be as multi-faceted as the projects and services of this Division. An arrangement of 17 individually created exhibits will show how Umdasch uses innovative applications to manufacture customised solutions for stores – from fashion to sport, banking and the automotive sector. Indeed, the company serves customers that operate on the international stage such as Audi, Valiant, Douglas, Dänisches Bettenlager, PME Legend, Samsung, UPC and Kastner & Öhler. You can look forward to a colourful display of shopfitting inspiration, digital solutions, lighting installations and miniature works of art.

 

Food Retail: Reliable competence

Food Retail by Umdasch is far more than simply producing equipment for the classic food retail sector. Therefore three different towers illustrate our wide-ranging portfolio of classic food retail via health to beauty. The compact sculptures combine versatile shop systems with analogue and digital additions to create the ultimate vertical POS.

 

  • The Food Tower focuses primarily on the topics Market Place, Drinks and Regionality.

  • The next tower shows a new modular table programme called Varitable. At the very top of the second tower a box system for the design of the so-called “third level” will be on display.

  • The Care and Wellness Tower focuses on the topics of health and beauty. Here, too, content will be presented on different shelving systems in a “Tower Shop” format.

    Renowned Austrian, German and international retailers like the Rewe Group together with Billa, Bipa and Adeg, Spar, Kaufland, Lidl, dm drogerie markt as well as filling station operators like Jet and Shell rely on the first-class knowledge of the market and the excellent performance of Umdasch in the Food Retail sector.

Premium Retail: Exclusive solutions in table format

High quality and concentrated creativity combined with digital signage and interactive applications will characterise the Premium Retail section at this year’s EuroShop. It has developed a unique exhibit. Visitors will be able to try out a table full of exquisite and valuable materials in the form of small, unique artworks. Due to integrated displays it will also be possible to take a convenient look at the used materials behind a reference project on the spot.

In cooperation with prestigious retail architects and top designers, Premium Retail by Umdasch produces fine craftsmanship for international brands like Christian Dior, Eres, Fortnum & Mason, Paris Gallery and Roja Dove as well as international operators of airports and cruise ships such as Aida, Gebr. Heinemann and Dubai Duty Free.

 

Digital Retail: true to our fair motto: omnipresent

True to our fair motto – Love digital, love analogue – the service portfolio of Digital Retail will be represented everywhere at the fair stand. The exhibits of our Digital Retail Division will not only be integrated into the individual shopfitting exhibits of Lifestyle, Food- and Premium Retail and will thus not only provide our guests with ideas and inspiration as to how digital signage, electronic shelf labelling, interactive applications and smart tracking can be integrated with added value into the POS; they will also be found throughout the entire fair stand, along the external walls, up high, in our stand restaurant etc. – You will be surprised!

Let us surprise you with the variety of possibilities and learn more about how digital shopfitting solutions are being applied by customers like Reiter Betten & Vorhänge, Airfield, Vorwerk, Spar, Thonet and Mauser Sitzkultur, or in the brand-new shopping district Q6 Q7.

 

The Cinema: Experience Umdasch with all senses and offers

In addition to inspiring conversations and unique fair exhibits, Umdasch Shopfitting invites guests to its own “Know-How Cinema”. Here the new corporate film will have its première. From 6 – 8 March the Know-How Cinema will be dedicated entirely to the Umdasch Shop Academy: from 10 am the curtain will rise for renowned speakers from the retail sector, who will be giving stimulating lectures on a wide variety of topics relating to the Point of Sale, providing a foretaste of the colourful programme of the Umdasch Shop Academy in 2017. Evening programme: There will be plenty going on at the fair stand even after 6 pm!

It is already tradition. For the third time Umdasch Shopfitting will invite guests to its customer and partner evenings with prominent encounters and culinary pleasures. On Monday, 6 March a very special kind of fireside talk will take place with Bernd Pischetsrieder – former Chairman of VW and Silvio Kirchmair, CEO of the Umdasch Shopfitting Group. On Tuesday, 7 March Gunter Dueck will take the stage and will give a stimulating lecture on the subject of Retail and Change Management.
